I like to listen to Lang lang or Dang Thai Son playing Nocturne. Their playing seems very "Chopin." I once asked Dang Thai Son why he played that well. He told me that because Chopin's life is similar to his. Mr. Dang was born and grew up in the War, and immigrated to foreign land. Our Chopin was also born in the war, and therefore he immigrated to France. Perhaps Mr. Dang play Chopin's Nocturne well for he encountered the same circumstance like Chopin. I have no idea about Lang Lang. However, I once saw him on TV playing Nocturne Op 27 No2. It was very great!! Yundi Li..... .Wow. In the 14th Chopin Competition, his playing was flawless, fantastic and accute. I can't use any word to describe his talent because his playing is more than wonderful. If one buy his recent DVD, he/she will see that time is passing by, and Mr. Li is getting more mature. In brief, I like all of them
Do you know how to save the movie into PC? I tried to do it but I couldn't!! It is Flash file, aint it?
And typical Argerich it is.... Breakneck speed, a ferocious torrent of notes all but drowning out the music. The bad sound quality does not help of course, but even so. I really can't see why everybody is so hyped-up about Argerich. More often than not, she just trashes the music. The alternative versions on YouTube of this sonata, while not as dazzling, seem much more musical to me.
no I wouldn't say that. It's true that is isn't the best (I think the best is of lazer berman) but she doesn't play that messy . She doesn't play the ossai. That's a pitty but I wouldn't say its bad. Rachmaninoff and horowitz didn't play de ossai so.... gr, robert
alexei sultanov in my opinion and nelson freire I surpose.I love that guy and maybe in the past von eckhardstein?
