Hi guys! Want to share my String Sextet that I just finished working on-it's scored for 2 violins,1 viola,2 cellos and 1 contrabass(or for a string orchestra,which I'd prefer).Your comments/critics/thoughts would be very much appreciated,here are the parts: Part 1-Allegro Con Fuoco: http://soundcloud.com/victor-1/victor-atanasov-string-2 Part 2-Scherzo Da Capo-Con Moto: http://soundcloud.com/victor-1/victor-atanasov-string-1 Part 3-Adagio Molto e Espressivo: http://soundcloud.com/victor-1/victor-atanasov-string Part 4-Finale:Allegro Molto Agitato: http://soundcloud.com/victor-1/victor-a ... ing-sextet
This is obviously not piano music, beyond that, I had a listen and enjoyed the first movement. It sounds classical enough, and worked at several levels, despite the reverb and the phony sounding fiddle. I take it this was an electronic simulation? It would be great if you could ask an orchestra/chamber group to play it. The instrument solos at :48, 1:58, 2:51, 4:23, 5:18 were nice. Were you thinking of arranging this to piano? Perhaps you would try 3 pianos, 12 hands. Of course, the vibrato effect that string players can produce would not work on the piano..
Thanks for the comment! Yeah,it's an electronic simulation, looking for a string orchestra that'd agree to perform it now, will post it again if I get it performed by a real orchestra. Might do a piano arrangement, but in the future. Thanks again!
