I sure did! How is it we don't play Sibelius solo piano music?? I have trouble even finding stuff by him ... I sure like the ones that appear in some anthologies I have though.

    Who says we don't ??

It is very near perfect, and can be enjoyed, even though I consider it one of Sibelius' weaker pieces (and there are many of those). Two remarks:

    1) Sibelius seldom or never wrote metronome marks. But this being an etude, I think it needs to go quite a bit faster. It's a bit boring at this sedate tempo (not entirely your fault though).

    2) In bar 25 and similar, the LH has two 16ths, not two 32ths as you play it. Minor detail, and the only thing I could pick on

I don't believe I've ever heard any piano music by Sibelius. I didn't know he wrote any. Actually it's a pretty little piece and I think you played it beautifully. I liked your interpretation....dynamics, rubato, control, touch.....etc. Thanks.

    Re: Sibelius

It is amazing that many people here do not know how much we have on the site here !

Thank you all for your positive feedback! I'm getting encouraged :)
Well, let's see when it is up on the site...

@an admin: Why is my name in the lists of statistics and new recordings no link and not even complete? Is that normal in the beginning?

I enjoyed the Sibelius very much!

I'll be singing it in my head all day. Thanks. (insert "going crazy from song-stuck-in-the-head-syndrome" emoticon)

Ah! I had forgotten about this wonderful little etude and you refreshed my mind. Thank you very much, and about perfectly executed.
