I'm learning Shostakovich's wonderful 2nd sonata Op. 61. My Sikorski edition has a lot of (what seem to me) obvious mistakes, for instance 1st movement bar 25 the RH C# should surely be an A, as in LH bar 11. Does anyone know of a more reliable edition, or any discussion of these numerous apparent misprints? I have searched all over the internet but can't find anything. Recordings often reproduce the errors, eg. Gilels on YouTube plays that dubious C#.

Thanks so much, Elisabeth - yes, that is exactly what I'm looking for! That's really kind of you. Your scan has more plausible versions of several dubious notes in my Sikorski edition, in the first and third movements, which is really helpful and confirms my suspicion that my edition is not completely reliable. I'm still puzzled by the second movement recap, though, bars 88 - 91. The changes of accidentals seem weak and unexplained. I wonder if Shostakovich's manuscript survives?
