    Monica,
It's obvious you love movies about great pianists. How about a documentary? I would really recommend The Legacy of Rosina Lhévinne - Portrait of the Legendary Pianist. Anyone, in fact everyone, let alone pianists, can be inspired by the story of this remarkable woman! Just to wet your appetite: she (Rosina Bessie) was herself a Gold Medal winner when she graduated from the Moscow Conservatory. However, she soon married the great Josef Lhévinne (six years her senior) and essentially parked her pianism on the back burner for decades. Though she taught at Juilliard with her husband, it wasn't until he died that things began to change. She taught some of the greatest pianists in the world but her solo performing career began at age 75 and climaxed at age 82 when she made her debut with the New York Philharmonic under the direction of Leonard Bernstein, playing Chopin's Piano Concerto in E minor (which she had played for graduation when a teenager!). I think you will love this and be enthralled and inspired by it -- I know I was, and still am!

Thank you for the recommendation, Eddy. That does indeed look like an interesting documentary. I'm putting it on my list. :)
