I have worked really hard at getting a good recording quality on my Story and Clark. I got it tuned today. It will eventually need work, or I will have to upgrade, but here is the recording sound. Has it improved at all? It's just a sound test. Nothing that I'm working on currentlyu
Hi fluterific, I think we need more information to answer your query. Were the two recordings made in different locations? The first sounds like a home recording, while the second sounds like it was made in an auditorium. I guessed on the latter, as the acoustics are all too noticeable creating the echo-y auditorium sound. If I had to choose a venue, I'd go with the home recording. Also, are we hearing a Story & Clark upright or a grand? They manufacture both-- Heritage Series Verticals, Signature Series Verticals, Heritage Series Grands and Signature Series Grands, that last one being their best model. That will be a factor. Microphones are every bit as important as the digital recorder. Along with that, it's important to know where you place the mic(s) relative to the piano. A lot of variables! David
