I just saw the 2013 Spanish thriller (English language, though, with American actors) "Grand Piano". The basic plot twist will captivate most of us: A pianist, during a performance, is told that he if hits a single 'wrong note', he'll be shot!! Of course, we've all had dreams like this, but the director uses it to spin out 90 minutes of action and sometimes terror. It had a limited box-office release; I got the DVD from the library. BTW: The piano in the movie is a Bosendorfer with all the extra keys (they used to call that model the "Grand Imperial", I believe), but custom-made for a fictional pianist/composer. Pianist is played by Elijah Wood; John Cusack is also in the movie.
They showed this movie at the piano competition last May...one night was a 'movie night'. So I watched the movie with around thirty other competitors. It's supposed to be a serious movie, but the things that the pianist was doing while he was playing were ridiculous. And then the body falling from the rafters right onto the piano below on the stage....well...my friend sitting next to me and I couldn't control our laughing during these parts. We laughed so hard!! I still don't really know if this movie was supposed to be a serious, scary movie, or was really intended as tongue-in-cheek. It did keep up us entertained, though. I like Elijah Wood and John Cusack....just can't believe they made this movie...
Saw this one too, even made a review here : http://pianosociety.com/new/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=5892&hilit=grand+piano
