I'm looking for a little piece by Manuel de Falla. It's simply called 'Cancion'...also one of the "3 Obras Desconocidas" which means 'unknown works'. It must be only about two or three pages. I think this will be a hard one to locate, but figured it can't hurt to ask in case someone here has it.
Yes, that's it. But where were you two months ago? It's okay, someone emailed it to me. I recorded and put it up onto the site...secretively, it turned out. But thanks anyway.
I forgot about you posting a recording. I do remember seeing your post and I was positive I'd checked and did not have it. Now I stumbled upon the post again, thought I'd check once more, and behold, the file had mysteriously sprouted on my disk.
I looked it up on Scorser the other day and it came up, so either someone uploaded it after you made your request or you did not expect to find it there and therefore did not look.
Why did you look into this a couple days ago? I just don't get why you guys are suddenly looking for this piece? :? Anyway, no I didn't think of Scorser. Forgot all about that site, actually..... But again, another member emailed it to me, so I didn't have to continue searching....
Believe it or not, I listened to your performance, but somehow never got around to comment on it. I put iheaps of PS MP3s on a Flash card and listened to them on my LoFi equipment, but I had no idea what it was I listened to until I came back and found the MP3 on the computer. By that time it was all old hat and all that and there seemed little I could add to what was already said. It is a unpretentious little piece that threatens to turn into a Gymnopédie but does nor quite get there and you play it quite well and the recording quality is very good, as is normal with you. Add to that, I like the sound of your piano.
Actually, nothing was said so I took it off the forum. Thank you, Richard, but you must have listened to something else. It’s okay….
No: it was that one. It was the first bar which gave me that impression. What with the little girl listening to her operas (yes: a four-year old actually does insist on watching Prince Igor - both DVDs - followed by an operetta) I do not always get a chance to hear any recordings when they are still fresh.
