Does she play anything interesting? All I can find is some rag, Debussy's Doctor Gradus, and Solfeggietto (only bits of those). There are a thousand child prodigies out there more impressive than her, from what I've seen. What's the big hype? That she's not Asian?
richard66- your comment makes me laugh. Terez, I think it's because she writes her original songs as well as playing the other stuff. Here's a link to her orchestral debut on an original song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h-XqoNSyFGs
You do not need to think: she is in fact being trained as a pianist, not as a perfoming flea. There is no reason why she will not in time become a young pianist and not end her career as a "child prodigy". After all, Menuhin gave a concert with Bruno Walter when he was 13 and Glazunov was composing at 14. I am avoiding mentioning Mozart, Meldelssohn and others who had a short life.
Well for me, I am happy to see such kids play at such young age. Doesn't matter what these kids play on the piano, I am just fascinated by their gifts in music and talents in playing the instrument that I so love to play. Her last performance was last January 18, 2011. She performed a concert in Geneva, Switzerland
