Mansi, Chris

Chris Mansi was born in Massachusetts, in 1990. At the age of 12, he began taking his first piano lessons, quickly surpassing the introductory books, and moving into "real" music by some of his favorite composers. He takes his lessons from Steve Baker, at The Music Place in Massachusetts, pianist and guitarist for the Beatles cover band Beatlejuice.
Among Chris's favorite composers are Scriabin, Prokofiev, Shostakovich, Satie, Chopin, Beethoven, and Bach. However, his favorite composer is Sergei Rachmaninoff.

Chris has played the piano for his school on two occasions, once at an arts festival where he performed Rachmaninoff's infamous Prelude in C-Sharp Minor, and once at a school mass, performing a modern Christian Rock keyboard piece entitled, Indescribable. Other than that, he rarely has any public performances, and spends most of his time playing at home.

Chris is also and avid member of his school's other art programs, including Drama, Chorus, and the Liturgical Music Group. He has also begun working on composing, writing in a late romantic style.
