Born in 1960, in England, Mark taught himself the piano until the age of 17 and then had formal tuition with various teachers, including some lessons with Sulamita Aronovsky and more recently Jo Peach.
Mark also passed a performer's diploma at the Trinity College of Music in London (LTCL) but in 2014, disaster struck and he developed focal hand dystonia (musician's cramp) in his right hand and is currently unable to play.
He is currently in the process of trying various methods to overcome FHD.
