Hello, This is my rendition of Bach's Invention no.13, had he lived in the Brazilian Countryside during the twentieth century. Just to clarify, this is not intended to go up on the site! ;-) Please give your opinions, as always.
Engraçado! What an interesting arrangement. Though I dont think many people would like it for carnival.
Actually, forró (in this case closer to a schottische) is a rhythm more heard in the northeastern part of the country, especially during the month of june, when we celebrate Saint John's day, the beginning of the rainy season (and thus the crops). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schottische http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forr%C3%B3
I beg your pardon!!! What about the countless minuets, allemandes, gigues, sarabandes, courantes??? Does one not dance to them???
Haha, that was cute. This is the great thing about Bach's music; whatever you do to it, it will stil sound good. In fact, it's well nigh indestructable.
Hey that was cute, funny! I think there is vocal group that did jazzy versions of Bach music that was very popular. Also I think the hooked on Bach recordings are probably some of the best selling classical music of all time! They are not really jazzy, they just use funny electric instruments.
Maybe you are talking about the Swingle Singers (singing Bach) or Jacques Loussier (instrumental jazzy Bach - at least I think so - Andreas is the one who turned me onto him)
I have all the Swingles Singers Albums! And we should also remember Wendy Carlos, whose Switched-on Bach album reached top charts on Billboard. It was one of the first recordings of Bach's Music with electronic synthesizers.
Yes I was thinking of the Swingle Singers. Though I did not really know about Jacques Loussier somehow. I will check him out.
Haha, very nice and cute! And you make the piano sound like so many different instruments - awesome!!!
