Our trio decided that Schubert Piano Trio is indeed too difficult for us.
So we decided to do Mendelssohn Piano Trio, either no.1 or no.2.
But what do you guys recommend?
Which is better to enter the competition?
Can you explain what you know about these pieces?
Mendelssohn Piano Trio no.1 in D minor Op.49
    and
Mendelssohn Piano Trio no.2 in C minor Op.66

Hunwoo, I've only listened to these two trios - never played them - but if the cello part is as busy and note-intensive as the piano part, I think you will stay quite occupied!

All difficulty aside, one of my very favorite piano trios is Mendelssohn's 1st; it seems to me that the entire piece is filled to overflowing with rapturous music. I personally think that you and your compadres would be amply repaid for your work on this trio.
