    Mine would be this:

    Don't ever, ever underestimate the value and power of slow, controlled practice. Many of the weak spots in my earlier playing could've been fixed if I had just buckled down and practiced slowly, with patience.

    Many beginners, and even intermediate players just want to jump in and play, for example, the coda to the G Minor Ballade at full ABCya Adam4Adam POF tempo from the start. However, as many know, this approach leads to a shabby performance full of technical and musical holes.
