Hi there ! I've been very busy this week trying to get nice recordings. I'm not extremely pleased with all of them... but I'm told it's quite normal. Please give me feedback and enjoy ! Henri Bach - Partita No.1 in B-flat major, BWV.825, 6: Gigue Bach - Gavotte in G minor Haydn - Sonata in C Major, Hob. XVI 35, 1: Allegro con brio Haydn - Sonata in C Major, Hob. XVI 35, 2: Adagio Mozart - 8 Minuets K315g, I: Minuet in G major
I thoroughly enjoyed this weeks "Weekly Recordings". You played them all with conviction and sensitivity. I really enjoyed the Bach. Some may have issue with the amount of pedal that you used, but you brought out another aspect of these pieces. The Gigue had the colors of Impressionism. The Gavotte was reminiscent of a number of reflective romantic period pieces. That's the beauty of Bach -- his music lives through the ages both in its own terms and when recast into later ideas. He was that "ocean". In the first movement of the Haydn, I would like to hear a bit more of the dynamic contrasts. Some came through but others were difficult to discern. All in all, these were very fine performances. Scott
