Hello Miguel. Thanks for posting some music of Vianna da Motta. It's one of these names you encounter, without actually hearing any of the music. I had great hope of hearing something new and exciting, but I must say this particular piece hugely disappointed me. It seems unbearably thin and trite, having no idea where it wants to be going. The composers just seems to be doodling with one little theme, and it's not even a good one. You play it well (though I though I heard some fumbles and dropped notes, could be wrong as I don't know the piece) but I believe that no amount of love, dedication and blazing conviction can make this piece palatable. Did da Motta write any good piano pieces ?

BTW - I like your adventurous choice of repertoire. That Toccata by Casella is the sort of piece I had expected from da Motta. Not a great piece but exciting, effective and to-the-point.

    Hello

Thanks for your reply. That piece was wroten when he was 13, so it's as you said. The notes that you mentioned are really those (the more you listen, the less you'll notice them). Motta has more music that I think you would like it. If you the project, join to the Facebook page.

    Thanks

Right ! For a 13-year old, not half bad ! Not everybody could be a Mozart or a Mendelssohn :D
I'm sure then, that he wrote much better music. I'll keep an eye on it.
