This was also (as well as your Tempest) most wonderful and carefully interpretated. Cannot think of anything to niggle about ;). I just enjoyed every second of it. :D

Sorry to be so late - I must have missed this one earlier.
Anyway, you played this beautifully. It seems that these Seasons pieces may be something I should look at, as they don't seem terribly difficult. Although, I may be wrong and you play so well that you make it sound easy.

Actually the fenomena on Tchaikovsky was in that he was able to cretae long themes out of short motives... to add so much of sadness, pain and tragedy to his pieces. By the way, in the essential theme of the 2-nd part one of his most giant masterpieces - Symphony No.6 - he has been using an estonian national melody heard while being on a vocation in Estonia ( having his summer holiday in Haapsalu, to be exact). The cycle of piano pieces " Memories from Haapsalu" is from the same era by the origin. Monica, der, You did make a correct notification: we have a very simple piece of music here, BUT: in my mind "The Autumn Song " is one of the most sad and tragic pieces composed for piano and complicated to perform because of it´s long cantilena and long phrase. Still : I do recommend to play this piece as the palying of the one is offering the payer an enourmous pleasure.
