This is a really wacky piece from the early 1900s, originally titled something different...I can't remember the work, but it's fun to play. The 3 pianists are myself, John Henry Burns, and Brandon Donahue, recorded from my school's recital series. Hope you enjoy.

    trio?

This sounds like a lot of fun to do. You did a good job. Do you know who the composer was? I can't imagine where three people sit on a piano bench.

My score for this piece is at home; as soon as I get back, I'll let you guys know...and we needed 3 benches placed perpendicular to the piano...lots of laughs

I did the pedal work in this piece; I was in the middle, smushed between two other guys.

Yes, a fun piece, and well executed despite some ill synchronization here and there - I can imagine a threesome poses much more problems than a duo. Did you rehearse it much with the three of you ?

Quite why a slender piece like this needs 6 hands to make its point, I'm not sure. It sounds like nothing 4 hands could not do, and perhaps beter at that. Probably just the fun/show element of it.

We rehearsed as a trio, but not as much as I would have liked. The reason for the 3 rather than the 2 pianists is because a lot of things is doubled in octaves, but you're right; this could probably be written as a piano duo. It was pretty fun to perform though, and people always appreciate weirdness on stage.
