    Not exactly cheerful, but nevertheless well played. I almost fail to notice this post because you've used 3 times the very same title "Shostakovich" in close proximity. Just 4 left to complete the set, are you going to do all Nos.5-9-15-23 or which of those?

    Thanks for listening, Alf. This sort of "grew on me" after I played it a few times. I wish I could complete the set, but we'll have to see. I'm still doing physical therapy three times per week to get the flexibility back in my right wrist and wearing a brace to drive and sleep. That's really no excuse. I'm afraid I'll never be capable of playing Nos. 5 and 9 at the prescribed tempos.

    A weird and wonderful piece, as are many in this set. Very well played, though I think there's one ir two bars where you could have counted better. Good dynamics, nice deep bass octaves. Well done !
