Sorry, but this submission is on the short side again. Consider it spam if you want. But I post this piece - which is surprisingly still missing on the site, it's very well-known and popular I think - because I did some changes to the recording setup. I now used the headphone output to get rid of any clipping (thanks to Syntaxerror again ). Maybe this improves dynamics, too. And I've added a slight "Bass Boost" effect to make the sound fuller. So I hope the recording quality is a bit better now. Please let me know what you think about it! Concerning the playing itself: the same as always. Don't expect any revoultionary evolution... Schubert - Op.94 no.3, Moments musical in F minor
Schubert A charming little piece for sure. I'm also surprised that it's not already on the site. You played it very well. It's definitely NOT spam!
I think you did a very good job and the sound quality is also very good. And as you say, it is surprising that this famous piece it is not already there . Thanks for recording it! I have put it up.
Yes, same opinion, you did a really good job, sounds note-perfect to me. Could however imagine a little more lively interpretation, it could sounds a bit (only a tiny bit however!) more fluently to me (not necessarily faster). The loud climax I like very much, maybe the end (ppp, perdendosi ...) could come even softer, but I know how difficult that is. Just personal opinion, as this is always the case with interpretations. Overall good job I think!
Thank you, guys! Your comments motivate me to do nos. 5 and 6 of that cycle. But I haven't begun these yet so it'll take some time. Almost, yes. After all, it's rather an easy piece, maybe aside from that bar 9 with those thirds, which I found tricky at the beginning. Only the repetition of the forte part is quite sloppy, but I think it's okay. Yes, I agree. In retrospective, I think the tempo is a bit too slow, the recording should be 5-8 secs shorter. On the other hand, this piece is often played much too fast being an "Allegro moderato". My Schott edition says 92 per quarter note and I found a recording on the net that is really that fast. This gives the piece a presto or vivace feel, which can't be intended, imho. Edit: @ Robert Forgot to say, it's nice to hear that the recording quality is good. I think I can stick with it for now.
Yes the sound is pretty good here, not as digital sounding as in some of your other recordings. One could almost think this was a real grand. Well played - I do not think this piece is easy at all, it is quite tricky in fact - with only one little slip I could hear. But as Olaf says, it could be just a bit more fluent. It is a bit stiff and there are some inconsistencies in the rhythm. I would also not be afraid to use a little pdeal here and there. But a very respectable performance all the same. Well done.
