The complete series of Schiff lectures on the Beethoven sonatas can be found here. Schiff won't be Schnabel or Arrau, but still remains a wonderful lecturer and a most insightful player.

I have downloaded the Schiff "masterclasses" on Beethoven Sonatas to my computer. I use them. They are entertaining to me and very insightful, as you say.

I've just realised this link has been already posted here...

Happy to see that mine works as a sort of reminder. Anyway, speaking of masterclasses, John, I feel compelled to share this and (OT) this.

You MUST listen to this fragment. The lecture on opus 109, 11:07-14:30
I can't believe I've missed that detail for the better part of 10 years. (Just when you think you know everything...) :!:

The whole lecture on op109 is profound.

"Our cat had had kittens." (from opus 110) Something tells me Beethoven had a sense of the comedy.

That pic made me think my screen was fuzzy.

Don't any of you know how to resize pics? Irfanview! It's free! :p

Sorry, my 1650x1050 screen is outsized. I like massive pics  >

...just finished listening to the whole series of lectures and I can't take another sound. Wow. My big head is full.

Again, whoever posted this, alf or otherwise, I thank you for bringing it to my attention.

Pete, I changed your picture size. Hope that's ok. If not, I can put it back.
