Saint-Saens Paraphrase on Massenet's Thais

Hi everyone.. and a small request to admin.

I have a previous recording of this entire piece up on the site, at http://s3.amazonaws.com/pianosociety/saintsaens-lamortdethais-wright.mp3
but I am not happy with it: the piano sound isn't great, some of my playing is very mucky, and in honesty I don't think I'm doing myself any credit by having it up here.

I have a new recording of the full piece, but.. it is intended for commercial CD release in a few months' time. Whilst I have not yet finalised the details of how I will be going about this I am reluctant to place it online here and potentially cause problems with copyright issues, etc.

With all of that in mind I would however like to upload here the segment which concludes the paraphrase, which is Saint-Saens' setting of the famous Meditation (or, to be more exact, the segment towards the end of the opera which recalls the Meditation). I intend to make this segment freely avaiable as a preview sample from the disc and in fact have already done so on Soundcloud and Youtube, so uploading it here seems a reasonable compromise.

What exactly would you like to be done? I am confused.

Hi. Basically I want the previous recording, which is up on the site at the amazonaws address above, removed. Then I would like the recording attached here to be uploaded to the site. I can amend my artist page accordingly.

 

I have updated the composer page to remove the prior recording and include your extract.
