Hey, I have been playing for about two years...I would like an honest opinion on these two pieces.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=beWYw1xVeTw thank you! Best, Richard
Hi Richard, If you have been playing only two years. then the question is, "For how many years have you been studying/training prior to 'playing'?" Either you're not being quite honest or you have prodigious ability. Given the venue where you were performing (a recital hall somehwere with a fine Steinway) I suspect it was at an academic center where you are enrolled. If you're a piano major, you're doing a fine job so far, but no one would accept you without having had considerable preparation prior to your matriculation. Something doesn't fit with what you're saying. :?: Would you care to clarify for us? Curious, Eddy
Eddy, I am 15 years old, still in high school. I have been playing for 2 years, Half a year I self taught, and then I entered a musical school in New York and have been studying there for a year and a half...The venue I am playing is Merkin Concert hall. I am not studying as a college student, but I go as a pre college division student, on every Sundays, taking a two hour private lesson with the director, Igal Kesselmen, one hour chamber ensemble, hour theory, and ear training. Thank you for your warm compliments though! Richard
Richard, I'm very impressed! Keep studying hard and cut no corners and you will always have a great companion for the rest of your life.
Richard Thank you for posting this link I really enjoyed listening. I listened to some of your other youtube videos as well and thought you played very well. Only been playing for 2 years? I'm very impressed :!: :!: :!: Jonathan
