Does this mean that I should put away my polyester leisure suits and platform shoes.
    Is the 'fro out?
I still want to go to Studio 54.
Shall I leave my bell bottoms in the closet along with my wide white belt and white corfam shoes?

Oh, its so hard to be hip... (don't anyone finish that.)

I still have platform shoes, but that's because they are back in fashion (in womens shoes). I have a lot of business suits, probably they are polyester too - I've never read the tags.
Sorry, no more wide white belts, but bell-bottoms are back in again too, sort of. No fros, though, and I've never been to Studio 54, but I've watched Saturday Night Fever a bunch of times. Does that count? And what the heck are "white corfam shoes"?

Corfam was a plastic material used in the '60s and '70s that didn't need polishing. It was a sort of "faux patent leather".

If I were to wear the platforms (I did wear them in the early and mid '70s) I would either fall or get a nose bleed.

To be honest, I have known that the '70s have become the retro-chic of this generation. The choir director that I work with at the school brought in the jacket to a polyester leisure suit (he's 25 so it could not have started out as his). That was scary. But I have seen the white belts lately as well as wide ties in full windsor knots (which are huge on a wide tie) bigger shirt collars and flared / bell bottom pants. I bought a pair of "boot cut" jeans a few weeks ago. That used to mean that the leg was wider to fit over the boots. I got them home and they were just short of bell bottoms (OMG).

Of course my theme song for a while has been "I was retro, when retro was brand new" (sung to the tune of "I was country when country wasn't cool").

I will leave my shakespeare series for awhile and come back to it later. Meanwhile I wish to start a musical quiz that comes close to home.

2-What beautiful lady pianist and painter is like a certain tool that has never been used?
3-What Beethoven sonata has been named after a lovely lady pianist?
