I know most of you will see this here, hence the reason for putting it in the Audition Room.

Has anyone had any problems logging onto the site today, besides me?

Well, I can get on periodically today, but still had some trouble earlier this morning. It's being looked into, so Everybody don't give up.

I've had trouble on the computers at our Library, but it has been fine on the computer at my church. Divine intervention I guess!

The current theory is that the gigantic size of the webserver logfile may be the trouble. We're discussing that.

What I've been experiencing over the past three days is three different scenarios: 1) Able to reach the home page and Audition Room; 2) able to reach the home page but get "timeouts" trying to get into Audition Room; and 3) inability to access Piano Society at all. If I try later on, I usually get in unimpeded. The iffy-ness of it can be frustrating.

Some possible theories and rants to make this more fun...
    1. Not being able to log on Piano Society means more time to practice.
    2. Too many wrong notes in the server has created a electrical dissonance.
    3. The server has switched to the Dark Side.
    4. etc...

My problem exactly. I have been using my finicky laptop instead of the desktop computer the last couple of days and thought it was a problem with the laptop, but now I don't think so.

    OK, patience is a virtue.

It's now rumored that the server has been diagnosed with catatonia. So I hope that it wasn't my Catoire pieces that disabled it. From what I hear, it can still use the left side of its keyboard and will be communicating accordingly henceforth. Oh oh, here comes one now!

    "! fee! better bvt...."

    Hi Monica,

Well, because the server can only use the left side of its keyboard during its malady, it has to approximate characters, thus used ! for a capital I and also the lower case l, along with the v in place of the u. But don't worry, my sense of humor (or humour as they say abroad) has been driving my wife nuts for decades!

Yesterday we moved away the gigantic log file that was clogging the disk and we believe things may work better now. Have any of you had any problem since ?
