Scott Joplin's simple little rag called "Pleasant Moments" makes me want to crawl into the hammock under the oak tree with a cold Mint Julip and lazily watach the children sitting in the grass playing with the kittens. :D

Joplin, an African American born at the end of the United States Civil War, wrote happy tunes in spite of the oppression he suffered. That's one reason I enjoy his music so much.

Your uploading of a recordings works on the first try. I see lots of repeats from you, maybe it is because you are unaware of it and your computer is "sick".

I agree with the hammock. But too bad it is about -15 degrees outside (or -26 degrees celcius for you non-American folk ;-p )

Nice job. Very relaxing and well played. I'll take a hammock too.

Isn't it terrible around here, lately? I'm ready to get in my car and drive south.

Juufa, come on down. It was sunny and around 78 degrees here today. Thanks for your response.

It's not too bad. You just need to eat a little more and wear more clothes

Over here the forecast is 5-15 cm snow (highly unusual for Holland) and huge traffic problems so I've decided to take a day off.

This piece is very nicely played. Is it actually called a rag, or a waltz ? Anyway you surely have a knack for Joplin. I'll put it on the site today, along with your other rags and recent chopin submissions.

John, at the top of the forum page near the righthand side, you see the words, Search, Profile, You have Messages(or You have no messages). Click on the "You have Messages" words to bring up your private mail box. From there you can go to your inbox. You should have a message waiting.

There is also an option in the Profile called "Pop up window on new Private Message" that you can activate. Quite handy and that way you'll never miss one (unless you don't visit the forum of course). Believe me, you don't want to miss out on pianolady's PM's
