First, I want to say to my good and respected friend Andreas, that I'm not only greatly relieved, but delighted that you'll remain here at PS! You have contributed much to this website, not only in your numerous and fine recordings, but in your commentaries and good humor too. Had you left PS, it would have been a terrible loss to us all. Thank you for revisiting your decision and for deciding instead to stay with us.

On the matter of the Audition Room, I view it as essential to the continued success of Piano Society. The very existence of AR has at its foundation reasonable expectations, basic standards, and the pursuit of excellence. Piano Society with its Audition Room discerns, differentiates, and selects submissions for archiving in accordance with those standards and I applaud that. Can there sometimes be some subjectivity along with objectivity in those decisions? Of course, as that is human nature. Music as performing art cannot be measured by the scientific method. Therefore, as musicians, I believe we tend to work harder on preparing our recordings for Audition Room. I also believe that, as time goes on, the extra effort we put into our playing and recording helps us all to become better pianists regardless of our varying levels of artistry. This, in turn, raises the general quality of recorded music to be heard here at Piano Society. So in the main, I am convinced that the outcomes are positive.

It looks like a troll, it talks like troll...hell maybe it is a troll!

Seriously, please lay off jlr43. There's no point in arguing in a circle. Which is pretty much what I gleaned from this and the locked thread. Both of which are rotten reads.

I really don't want to see PS go the way of Piano World's nearly constant bickering. Please just agree to disagree and drop it. :)
