Hi everyone, and happy new year...

I have recorded all my latest playing on dvd cam from now on as a mandatory. And no more mp3 files. I also managed to compress 400 Mb files down to 18 Mb. Thanks to my Cousin Steven,,,who is a computer specialist. This would make Chris & Roberts happy too. I could not upload to PS site....i thinks its blocked. So I ended up to use youtube site.

I hope you liked it. The op10 is coming along fine......but still not happy........welll...there is never enough...for any of them....

ps.pay attention to my footwork. I deliberately to film it.

Below is my links, average 4 MB each file.

    Hi John,

I like to 'see' people so I'm glad you submitted these. However, the sound quality is fine, but the video is too dark. On two of them, you can hardly be seen. I think it's because the window is behind the piano. It makes too much back-light. From what I can see, there is not enough room to put the camera on that side of the piano, so maybe if you put a curtain on the window and place a couple lamps - one by the camera and another at the far end of the piano - the picture would be brighter. Good job on playing all those etudes! but again, I would have liked to have seen your hands better, because you have talked a lot about your 'relaxed' technique and arm weight.

    Hi John!

Happy New Year!!! Your Chopin-playing just keeps getting better and better. The opus 25-1 is one I played for my exam to become a teacher so many years ago. It used to give me terrible burning in the forearms, I guess because I hadn't yet read about such a thing as lateral forearm rotation. You seem to play it, along with the other ones, with greater and greater ease each time, and now I can see by your technique that yes, it appears you do not struggle with tension. Thank-you for very enjoyable playing and Best Wishes for 2008 to you in Australia.

Nice to finally see you play, John.
About the resolution, a giant file size, to conserve visual clarity would be desirable. (No back-lighting please!)

I can hardly wait until I get my own video camera. :D

    Thanks for sharing!

Now i know who are my true frineds...

For PFJ, he works for cannadian intellengence agency, to reveal his identity, they must kill him...

The sound qulaity on cam is actually closer to the sounds of my grand than my mini disc ....which was rather supprising.

I will do a close up on my hands only near future and yes I will block that back light. that would be a while from now as I am polishing on new etude.....

as I said before video recording is madatory for me from now.
