    Hi neural,

Welcome to Piano Society! And thank you for taking time to listen to my latest recording. Yes, the 1.56 pause needs to be addressed. We're working on that now. As for the 1.44, it's really not too obvious in my opinion. Right now I'm working on another of the preludes and have a third one standing by once I can turn attention to it. Again, nice to have you here at Piano Society.

    Hi Andrew,

I listened to your concerto and was very impressed by your creativity and adeptness at the piano too. The third movement was tops for me--truly amazing! I hope that you'll receive more comments on this amazing work.

    Hi David,
I have done an editing of the hesitation at the one place. Please, listen to it and give me feedback, if you would like to replace your old version by my new one.
I have checked the link in your profile page. It works very well. If you click on the link in your profile page you are linked to the various page, from where you can start playing your recording. It´s allright.
And thank you very much for messaging me concerning imslp, I have informed Richard and he has cared about that.

    Hi Andreas,

Wow! What a difference that one edit made to eliminate the pause. I'm very pleased with the change. Thank you!

Yes, I went to Profile Page, the link took me to Various. The older version displays there, so I'm going to try instead to bring in the edited version as a added choice for listeners. (Also, where over 200 people have listened to the original, I don't want to lose the 200+ count.) Better to leave it there with the edited version.

As of this time I haven't had good luck in getting it into Various.

    Hi David,
o.k., I will put it up as an alternative version with an edit, but I think this should be an exception, because if we post edited versions besides the originals it will cost too much hard disk memory and we will loose the overview.
I have an important advice for you: as a normal member you can't add a recording to the varoius section or wherelse, this can only be done by admins.

    Hi Andreas,

I fully understand the problem with displaying two versions, and yes, it does absorb space. In choosing, I would want us to go with the edit. In the long run, it will eliminate queries about the pause. We can just erase the original.

I'm glad that only the Admins. add a recording. The key question though is the point in the process where the recording changes hands from the member to the Admin. person. For this Kazhlayev piece I went to Submission Room, did the title of the piece and the the brief article as introduction. As for adding the new recording itself, I used proper naming and also the tags. The actual uploading was not much different from the old software. So where in the flow of the process should I actually stop? I suppose I could request an installing of a new piece, although there is no internal messaging here like we had in the old software. I just want to be clear on "the details", as I want to do it correctly. And I do not want to over-reach.

Thanks for your help on this.

    David

    Hi David,
I have replaced your old version by the new edited version. Thank you for your understanding.
As for the uploading of recordings nothing did change compared with our old system. Members upload their recordings to submission room and the administrators upload it to a certain section from the main page (as f.ex. the various section is). This makes sure, that we can keep up a certain standard of quality.
Concerning the private internal messaging, we also have that in our new software. Look up into the right corner of this page here, please. Between your username and "Alerts" you find the button "Inbox". If you click on that you can show all your conversations or start a new one. I have written you a little test-message right now, so that you can see it. And by the way, all of our old messages still is there. The new software took it over from the old one.

    Hi Andreas,

Thanks for your clarification! It makes perfect sense to me. So once I have finished uploading a recording, and as for any additional handling, that is then in the capable hands of the Admins.

Yes, when I entered today I saw the Alert too.

You're welcome, Andreas. Yesterday I succeeded in replacing the original upload with the edited. The second prelude is coming along well, but more practice is still needed.

What do you mean with this? Where did you replace the original with the edited version? Do you mean on your artist page? Good to hear that you are working on the second prelude.

    Hi Andreas,

Yesterday I first uploaded the edited version in Submission Room. Then I deleted the original recording there. (At home on my PC I have both recordings with the edit and without edit.) I just checked now, and the Artist page is identical to the edited version in Submissions Room. I assume you took care of the link.

    We're a good team.

Is there anything needed at this point? If so please let me know.,

    Thanks again!

    David

    Hi neural,

I'm working on another Kazhlayev piece from that same opus now and hope to be able to post it in May when the piano will be freshly tuned.

    Hi David,

Flavors of Satie, Scriabian, and Rachmoninov for brief intervals.
    Congratulations on an interesting performance.
