Has anyone ever heard this? Opinions? Comments?
Yes I've heard them, played by Mompou himself (who was a splendid if idiosyncratic pianist). Not a top class set of variations, but some good ones in there. Do not expect much pianistic fireworks, it is elegant rather than virtuosic. But more extrovert than much of Mompou's music. I'd suggest this set, which sounds not overly difficult, is well worth the effort.
Would be nice to have them up the site
My new teacher has reccomended it and you may well have some
in a few months!
That will be good, we need more Mompou. But do try to record them all then. We want no bleeding chunks here !
what!!!! i beg your pardon! (in disbelief) i am insulted...
