majors and minors

    hii..

    sorry but i am very puzzled by this issue =x

    is it true that majors are usually used for happier and cheerful songs while minors are used for sad and sorrowful songs? :?

    USUALLY, yes. But you can have a very sad piece in major also.

    Example of sad song in major: Liszt - Consolation no. 3
    Example of happy song in minor: Liszt - Paganini Etude no. 3 "La Campanella" .

    This is my opinion.
