I just heard Gargoyles for Piano, Op 29 IV Presto feroce and I really liked it! Have others heard of this composer or played any of his works. He has even dared to compose a Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini for piano and orchestra!
    A little on him at:

Cool! (Said and appreciated by Americans in their 50s :( ) Thanks. I'll check it out as soon as I get home.

    Hi Eddy,

Yes, I've listened to the whole set of Gargoyles, but always return to No. 3 written in the style of water music--an extraordinary work of beauty. I have not listened to his other works yet.

I've played the flute and piano sonata (the piano part of course!) several times. It's an incredibly powerful piece, and well written for both instuments. Buying and learning some of his solo piano works is on my rather long list of things to do...

Interesting! I play flute too, so I'll have to listen to that piece.
