The pieces are not my cup of tea -- I just don't feel that they have much to say. However you play them very well and you had exactly the right mood for each. I liked the aggressive approach to no. 17.

These are so jam packed with notes, so it's a good thing they are short. But I really like them and think you played both very well. I heard nothing wrong in no. 17. But I don't know the music. Really, you shouldn't say that there are mishaps in pieces like these, since nobody can tell and they are not standard repertoire.

Thanks ! There are quite some blatant misses in no.17, because I preferred to throw caution to the wind and could not edit. Yeah it is stupid and lame making excuses for mistakes. It seems a typical amateur thing, taking on pieces above your might and then apologizing that you didn't get them right. I should be
picking something easier. But I just love these pieces so much..

Thank you ! And sorry to hear Kapustin does not seem to speak to you. I guess you've not caught the bug right and proper.
Interesting about the 'aggressive' approach in no.17. I am trying very hard to get a relaxed swing into this, like a crack bar pianist in full swing, but I guess I'm not quite there yet. There is such a temptation to get over-excited with this music :)

Great pieces and great playing! They are definitely not "above your might", please don't stop posting this kind of music. I agree with Monica, small or even blatant mishaps don't mean a thing when you got the swing! I was really picked up by no 17, like a jolly old friend coming by and telling me to stop sulking. And my toothache disappeared!

Seriously, you record with the wife in the house? Wouldn't work here. She would start vacuuming or playing with the dog, or pop in to ask where are the car keys.

Thanks for that ! Knocked your sore tooth right out did I not ? think I'll have to spend another day with no.17 though. The misses may be not very significant but they irritate the hell out of me.

My wife knows her place, and she had been Instructed ;-) And I do have my own room, that helps a lot.

(I do like how you play it already.)
