Sorry, Monica, I have difficulties to convert your feet in meters. If I convert like this:
54*0,3048=16,4592 meters heigth from the ground it can´t be. Is there a difference between english and american foot? If so, how much is an american foot in meter?

I think she meant 5.4 feet or 5 feet and 4 inches not 54 feet!

    5.4 feet = 1.64 meters

    5' 4" = 1.625 meters

Before downloading, Rapidshare nags you with a 50 second or so delay. A straightforward option is mediafire.com (use the basic uploader). I also advise to winzip the audio file before uploading in order to save time.

OMG, sorry Andreas. I was in a hurry when I typed that earlier message, and didn’t mean to confuse you, (but I am laughing my ass off right now.) No, I don’t climb as high as a five-story building to put my little Edirol in place (haha - eek, don’t kill me again – sorry, haha). I meant between 4 and 5 feet, which works out to be what Juufa said – between 1.2 and 1.5 meters.

Alfonso, I may need some coaching with that winzip stuff when I get to that point.

So...I'm ready to go whenever you guys are!

Today I made some experiments with my 4-track-recorder. I recorded the track of piano 3 from bar 1 - 32, but I played a wrong note, so I decided to rerecord it tomorrow.
I also made an experiment for myself to test the multi-track-recording and I recorded piano 1 and 2, also from bar 1 - 32. It was quite difficult to get the tracks together without any "clappering". I wasn´t satisfied, so I decided not to upload it.

Tomorrow I will make a next attempt, but only with piano 3.

    Cute one, Alfonso.:)

So...sounds like the editing part is going to be tricky. I also think that getting together the two players who are simultaneously playing those 8th note triplets is going to be tricky. Guess we will find out pretty soon.

p.s. and if this doesn't work, our next piece should be a march.

I have a long working day today, so may be this evening I will do the rerecording of bar 1-32. (But only this and not to experiment on track-bouncing a.s.o.)
I have a metronome-function in my Zoom H4. The click should not be heard on the record. But in reality it is. That´s the big problem. Otherwise this would work fine, because with metronome it´s no problem to get several tracks simultaneous. (Of course, it´s not too "musical" then.)
Hope, that I´m not too tired this evening.

    And Julius,
    thanks for your help above!

The best way to achieve togetherness here is to play the quaver triplets with the utmost steadiness (poco ritenuto and ritardando apart). As Andreas's already said, before recording everyone should listen to and play along the backing track a few times to get acquainted with it. I think that I'll set the loop mode and record a number of times in a row. Luckily, it's technically easy stuff and just 3-4 minute long.

I agree. Ok - metronome at 69 and steady playing. Are you both going to use the soft pedal as indicated in the score?

Since I play just a filler, I'll do along the whole piece (not in the louder parts of course). Andreas should play 1 corda from the beginning to bar 32, then 3 corde. You probably not since the Primo part has the melody in the first section and the luminous tone of your Yamaha is just fine there. Also, the last bars will likely need the soft pedal. Anyway, these are mere proposals, and both of you should decide at the very moment of recording.

I will use left pedal from bar 1-32, apart the mf-part in it. I´m going to record now. See you!

No the hour has arrived. Monica, you can download my recording of bar 1-32 from the following link:
    http://www.mediafire.com/?nsgfsqiwl44

I have repeated my experiment of yesterday and I recorded piano 1 - 3 together from bar 1-32, this time it was a success. (Besides of one telephone-ringing while I was recording  , but that doesn´t matter, because it´s just an experiment.)
Please, listen to it and tell me your opinion, Monica and Alfonso.

It's fine for me. I played along with your track and it was just fine.

Oh, jeez - I'm already in trouble because I can't seem to open that mediafire link. I opened an account and downloaded the file. It now shows up in "My Files", but then how does it play? I've clicked everything!

How is it possible? Don't you see a huge "Click here to start download..." on the left after loading the webpage linked by Andreas?

Ok, I only had time to make a little test tonight. The television is on in the other room, and I turned pages as I played – also I had the edirol closer to the piano than usual, because I couldn’t get my regular set-up set up, so there is quite a bit of external noise that won't be there for the real thing.

This starts at the time change – one measure before I come in. I just want to know if you think my piano is good enough in tune, or if you think I should wait and record after I call the tuner?

Here is the link ( I think):
