Help needed, bizarre piano notation

    Hi, i'm praticing exercises from lizst compilation book and I don't understand these weird what one could call legato lines that appear on the "bar line".

    If you could take a look and explain to me what they are, I've never seen this before ever, I circled them with a little black oval. Your help would be much appreciated.

    The lines are tie marks. Oddly, I strongly suspect the middle one is incorrect, and one tone low. What the lines signify is that the chord should be held over into the next bar, where there is a repeat symbol. Basically, this looks like a finger independence exercise where the chord-playing fingers are kept on the keys whilst the other two fingers play alternating notes, one time legato and another time staccato.
