Alexander, many kudos for your performance. It's a joy to find such a sensitive and beautifully crafted interpretation of Haydn music. I especially appreciated your tempo choice of the first movement, you glean the small details left behind by many reckless pianists.

I agree with Alf. This is one of my favourites and something I attempted myself, pitifully falling in with the "reckless" pianists. You demonstrate a different way to do this, many thanks!

Thank you so much for your encouraging comments! I find this Sonata to be extremely beautiful, and that too many times it is played without attention to the detail that can really make it sound special. I am happy that you think I've achieved this to some degree. :)

Hehe, such a coincidence. I started practicing this piece not too long ago for my piano lessons. Your performance is excellent.

I'm afraid I'm one of those 'reckless' pianists aswell - mainly because I'm just not a fan of Haydn's music.

    very good

I don't have anything intelligent to say, but I thought the performance was too good to say nothing. (Try parsing *that* sentence.)

I usually don't like Haydn that much, but I liked this. Very classy. Thanks

StuKautsch, I think that sentence was awesome. By the way, I think it is one of the highest compliments to hear that someone liked a piece I played after they didn't think they would. It's good to know that I brought something new to the table, even with such a classic piece as this one!
