Has anybody heard the piano music CD reported as outstanding

    You can download a track fro free, the Minute Waltz from Chopin, and judge by yourself. It sounds good but not extraordinary good IMO. Recording to Nagra tape recorder can be understood for producing vinyl LP, what this editor does, but not for producing CDs since the analog signal has to be converted to digital at some stage, the earlier being expectingly the better. Even a Nagra adds noise and distortion. The microphones, AKG C414 Ltd, that are an anniversary edition of the C414B identical, except fot their silver rather than black casing, to the C414B-XLS are not the ones that I would dream about for such a top quality recording. (May be because I have one. :wink:)
