Hi guys, I have been looking for one of Chopin's earliest compositions and have enver come across any of the sheet music in any of my books. There is an excerpt of it in one of my books on his life but that's about it. It's a Polonaise in Ab (Brown 5). It's not difficult but it's very nice. I was going to post a midi of it but apparently this is not allowed on this forum. This is the link to this polonaise on www.classicalarchives.com: http://www.classicalarchives.com/m/032/chopol13.mid I haven't been able to find it on imslp.org, even though I'm sure it's a public domain piece. If you guys know where I can find the sheet music, please let me know. Thanks!
Hello Claudio I'm new to this forum, but noticed you were asking about the score of Chopin's early Ab Polonaise. In the old Paderewski Edition of his Polonaises, this work is included. It is a charming piece. Hope you can track it down... Best wishes Angela
Forgot to answer, I couldn't find this piece on the net, either, but it is also included in the Könemann Urtext of the Chopin Polonaises.
I'm 99% sure that it's in the newest Alfred edition of Chopin's polonaises. Search for it on sheetmusicplus.com. That book also has Chopin's other early polonaises (all of them). Hope that helps!!!
