The music day in France just ended. Many people played music outside everywhere. This is just my contribution for this special day, which is also the beginning of the summer. I wish to everybody good music for listening, playing and sharing. :D

The romantic approach may not be to the taste of the Bach purists here, including me, but I have to admit it sounds great. Only the last chord did not come out so well, the middle note barely audible.

If you want this on the site, I am afraid you'll have to record the fugue as well...

Very romantic and sensitive Bach-playing, against all (historic) conventions of this music. I personally would not play Bach like this, with such big rubati (that means uneveness), this I do only on romantic pieces, but I like, if musicians, who play with deep sensation - like for example you and Sandro Bisotti, too- try out new ways of interpretation like this.
I like your sensitive playing and, of course, the great sound-quality of this record! Great also the final-chord-treatment, which shows us your fine sensivity for the sound-treatment.

Thank you Chris and Andreas. I agree that this is a questionable way of playing Bach. It was not intended for being put up on the site. It was just a bit of music as my contribution to the music day, a kind of ephemeral art.
