Hi there, although I didn't get any feedback in the "Works in Progress" section, I tried to improve some things and avoid the mistakes of the last recording. Hope you enjoy the piece. Daniel Lecuona - Suite Andalucia - 1: Cordoba (3:26)
Hi Daniel, I did not know this composer. I like this piece. Thank you much for your recording ! Didier
I did not hear the version in progress, but this one sounds fine apart from one or two smudged chords towards the end. I've always had a soft spot for the Andalucia Suite. Had some fun playing through it again today for the first time in some years. It's rather a handful but I did not find it quite as hard as I remembered it to be. Are you planning more movements ?
Thanks everyone for your kind comments! From the Andalucía Suite, I also played Gitanerías and Andalucía. They are not ready for a recording yet, though. In terms of harmonics and structure, the Andalucía Suite is rather simple (not simplistic), but all the pieces are very effective - which is why I like them
Yes, gorgeous piece. Well played, and the sound is good. I'm unfamiliar with the music, but I can give one piece of advice: Though the sound is good, you're recording at 128kbps, and the Society allows 192. You should try that and see if it makes a difference (it probably will).
This is on the site. I've all but given up chasing people to do their tagging correctly. As a rule this is more work, and more tedious, than just correcting them myself. Would be nice though if it wasn't necessary... Whether 192 Kbps actually sounds better than 128 Kbps is probably a moot point unless one uses very professional recording gear and instrument.
