I am looking to play a beethoven piano sonata movement. I would prefer a slow movement but need help choosing the difficulty level of the movement. I know the relative difficulty level of each sonata as a whole but need to know which movements (especially the slow movements) are the easiest. Thanks for the help.
Hello, and welcome to Piano Society! Three movements come to my mind. 1. Sonata Op. 79, 2nd movement "Andante" I really love that one! 2. The second movement from "Pathetique Op. 13 3. The second movement from the "Moonlight" op. 27, no. 2
The website at http://www.pianosyllabus.com lists these Beethoven sonata movements at grade 5. There's obviously loads more at grade 6+.
