    Hello!

...something I've worked on for a while, on and off, for the past 2 years...this is recorded on a NY Steinway D (yes, previously posted on another forum :)). Comments and criticisms are much appreciated!

    Regards

    Sam

Wow, a gorgeous piece played fanstastically. You should introduce yourself a bit, Sam.

    Hi Samd,

I listen to "modern music" sparingly, but really liked this piece of Dutilleux and your masterful playing. Simply excellent!

So far I'd never really warmed to anything I heard from Dutilleux but this piece is very appealing. Many echoes of Ravel and Prokofiev without being derivative. And plenty of invention and excitement. A good piece, then, and masterfully played.

    Hi Sam,

Thanks for including that musical bio. It was most interesting, and you've certainly accomplished a great deal as an artist! Did you use a different "screen name" in the past?

Thank you for letting us discovering this beautiful piece ! As compared to what I know from this composer, it sounds more classical (quite early French XXth century), but with a great variety, refinement in the writing. As for your rendition, I find it beautiful and fully mastered technically speaking. Maybe I would have expected more dynamic (the p more piano, the f more forte), but it may be a matter of microphones more than interpretation. Anyway, congratulations ! And I hope you will join soon this community...

Not the sort of repertoire I usually listen to, but I must say I'm impressed with your rendition. It comes across as clean and well-presented; it's been interesting and thoroughly worthwhile to listen to your performance.
