Let's do a topic bump. The admins seem to have missed this post somehow.

This is very well played. The only thing I regret is that IMO the piano sounds rather too deep and heavy for this music. For a Baroque piece it seems written curiously low. I wonder if a bit of bass filter would improve this ? Either way this could surely go on the site if you want.

This piece is harder than it seems, at first; so bravo if you're new to the piano.

Especially since this is harpsichord/clavichord music par excellence, and therefore presents a few hurdles at the piano.

One hurdle is simply the fact that many pianos have much too heavy a bass to carry the music off easily. You've figured out by now that the music sounds VERY different played an octave higher on most pianos. The relevence of the bass (left hand) becomes pretty obvious. It's just a whole lot more rewarding to play an octave higher!! (I'm tempted to do a youtube of it played that way myself, just to make the point---let the listeners suffer!!!)

Angela Hewitt, a Canadian pianist with reasonably good fingers, did an apparently well-known movie version, probably at a Faz, which she says she loves. But it works quite well, because the Faz has quite a bit of inharmonicity in the bass, which makes it more transparently audible against the treb.

Most of us don't have the luxury of playing the Barricades on THAT instrument, but you did a good job with the instrument at hand!!!
