    Hey, Monica, nice play. I have saved all on my usb stick. I never get bored with this particular op36.
    Because, I played and played and played. Now its my daugters turn.

    I can feel your sense of touch in your interpretation. Very musical indeed. This is what I liked -sensitively played overrules the technical side.

    Monica, your playing is always clear, precise, technical perfect. Also expressionwise it sounds good to me! Very good job!

    I think this goes too far. The technical side should never be overruled, and especially Monica never does it.

    I just followed the markings in the score, so any 'sensitivity' came from plain old reading every little dot, slur, accent, etc... But you can say I play sensitively anytime you want. :wink: I like that. :) Then again, I like 'technical perfect' too. Okay, go ahead--you can say both. :lol:

    Ah, the No.1 brings back fond memories (infofar as I have any) of piano lessons :D

    Sprightly and vivaciously played as usual, note perfect except for one tiny LH slip near the end
    of the No.2 finale. You have a knack for this music indeed !

    I can't really niggle much. These seem to be more supple than the previous, but you may want to work on that last ounce of elegance. I noticed some awkward trills and your sixteenths are sometimes a bit rhythmically unstable and/or sound uncomfortable (I am sure you know where that happens).

    Me too. I could barely reach the floor when I first started this piece.


    My trills are always uncomfortable. It's one of my weaknesses. The 5th sonatina has them too - can you fill in the trill part for me? :wink:

    If only there was a pill for that. I don't think I can do any better than this.

    This brings back fond memories as well! Thank you.

    (Memory being my third recital, I was 16, and the girl ahead of me played the first sonatina to perfection, and I struggled with Chopin's raindrop prelude after...what'a memory :roll: )


    "Gute nacht" is how it is spelled (am I correct Mr. Olaf?) Sometimes it sounds like "guten acht" which confuses me.

    With that in mind--

    gute nacht or dobra noz or goodnight or bonne nuit or buona notte or (more commonly inside the US and the midwest) buonas noches or goede nacht

    My fond memories are of the 3rd mvt. of the G major. One of the first real pieces I learned on my own...

    I agree with previous poster and have not much to add really more than I kept it going for a while with 2 happy kids playing around me. The music fitted well into the situation :).
