I too remember that somewhere on YT he plays on a Gaveau.

And I too am surprised by how much good the Gaveau sounds after Andreas' treatment, even if I believe that the outcome would have worked even better with a lighter audio make-up. The SD 46/4 is so gentle, I like it very much. But all what I've watched/listened to so far is of high quality, particularly being the result of so little time spent together on it. Music-wise you two are a match. Congratulations for this achievement.

Thank you, Alfonso. Yes, probably I have pointed out to much the bass with my eq-settings (which you can see above), but somehow I was so impressed by it in nature, that I wanted to bring it out in my editing in a special way.

Thank you, Alfonso, I´m glad you like it! :D

Thanks Alf. Yes it seems musically we're on the same level, if not technically. Nearly all the flubs are mine, despite that I'd already played these pieces and Andreas had not.

    Dvorak + Mozart

H e l l o A n d r e a s, H e l l o C h r i s, I enjoyed your playing a quatre mains. The sound of the Gaveau is beautiful. Your interpretation IMO is well co-ordinated and I liked the change of dynamics. Also the rhythm both in the Dvorak dances and in the Mozart Sonata appears to be clear
and full of musical energy. I was particularly fond of the second Dvorak and the first two movements of the Mozart Sonata. The full chords in the Dvorak make a wonderful sound. I admired the clarity of most passages in the Mozart sonata. Well done! Francois-

    nice collaboration on short practice

Nothing intelligent to say, but I enjoyed 72-4 so much that I saved it to my disk. Thanks for the intro to these works.

Thanks Stu. I can recommend all the Slavonic Dances, whether scored for orchestra or piano duet. Absolute desert-island stuff, guaranteed to cheer you up every time.

Gentlemen, great stuff. Must be fun to play together so well! 72 #2 is my favorite.

    Thank Ye Schmonz !
Yes it give great satisfaction playing together, especially nice rhythmic pieces where you can get really in the groove together. It was a pleasure to do. And if there exists more infectious and uplifting music than these dances, I have yet to come across it.

Thank you. Indeed, it was a great pleasure to play together as much as it was to do windsurfing together as you can see in the second movement of our Mozart four hands sonate KV 497.
