This time not a score. What 19th century pianist and composer wrote teaching pieces under the pseudonym of his last name spelled backwards?
That was fast Scott. You must be (or have been, like me) a piano teacher. I would never have know otherwise.
I do teach piano, but I remember that name from my early piano lessons. My teacher used the Schaum method and a piece by Gobbaerts / Streabbog was in one of the books with the story about his name. With such valuable musical information as that it is no wonder that I wanted to pursue music. ;-). Scott
I had to play Streabbog pieces as a kid, and always wondered about the funny name. Never bothered to check it though.
It may be to English speakers. In Flemish Belgium, I think it's not at all unusual. I've seen funnier ones
