    Hi guys,

Burgmullar was well known in Asia. A young German musician who died at a very young age of 26.
However, his music was very tastefuuly written. At least for myself.

this reminds me of Franz Behr. Cute, almost like a song played for children.

Nice pieces, and well executed. A good start to a Burgmuller page on the site ?
Only thing I could niggle about is that perhaps your touch could be a little more detached, i.e. staccato or half-staccato instead more the more or less portato you use. That would make it a bit lighter and airier. But very good all the same. Don't know the pieces and I think there may have been one wrong note in the first but could be wrong about that.

I've never heard the first one, but I've played the second one many times and it was note-perfect. Good job, John. How about the Arabesque, next?

Yes, I agree with previous posters, well executed, I l especially ike your execution of that ritardando on the first piece end and also the left hand runs on the ballade.
The pieces itself ... yes, they are nice, but of a kind of pieces I don't need to listen twice because the musical content is so easy to grasp. To call the second piece a ballade is an affront to the musical content of the 4 ballades from Chopin however...

One little thing: Especially on the ballade, more precise the piece called "ballade", I could hear the clicking noise of your finger nails. That says me: John has a good hand position, his fingers must be curled, but he should cut his nails. :D
    Some truth in that?

thanks everyone, you got the score in front and you know s if I play good or bad.

My finger nails is very short already I used to chew my finger nails but not any more now.
I got flat finger tips, the nails is around 2mm-3mm below the tip very short already.. It just shows you I have a very bonny finger tips. Anyway, if you enjoyed, thats the main thing....more will come later on???

Burgmüller is by some reason well known in Sweden too, likely for these etüdes for kids. It sounds like the Burgmüller I know and you play it very well. Indeed we should have a Burgmüller page :). Can you complete the entire set (only another 23 to go)?

    Re: thank you

As I don't know anything at all about this composer, and he seems to be very popular in Sweden, perhaps Robert can do this one ?
