    Hi Richard,

    This sounds good, I haven't heard your original version. The range in dynamics is generally good, but not greatly differentiated. I have this problem with my digital, there are only 4 different velocity levels 1 is p, 2 is mf 3 is forte and 4 is fortissimo.

    I don't know much about this piece, here someone who has recorded/read through this piece could give more specific feedback.

    Nice playing,

    Riley

    Hello,

    The original version is the one on the site. Its dynamic range is nil and if you open the sound file and place a ruler above and bellow the soundwaves they will touch it all along the line!

    What do you mean by differenciated? the tone does not change?

    To my knowledge there are only three recordings out there: one by Stephen Coombs (a concert pianist) and by Stephen Fierros (a wightly gentleman you can find on YouTube) and mine, so the choice is not that big, really.

    I don't remember your first version, but this sounded very nice, Richard.

    @Richard

    When I say greatly differentiated dynamics, I'm talking about dynamic range. If there is greatly differentiated dynamics you hear a dramatic difference between loud notes and soft notes. I forget if I've asked you this, do you have an upright or a grand? Based on this recording, my ears tell me you are playing on an upright?

    Your ears do not fail you! I believe I am now the sole member who is neither digital nor grand.

    It seems to work, though the timing of this one is 2'19", whereas the earlier one is 2'10" and that is what it says on the composer's page.

    Hi Richard,

    Kudos! This is a noticeably superior performance and recording as compared to your earlier submission. Keep up the good work.
