    who knows this man and his music? I love his first concerto It is sooo nice Does anyone know where I can find more recordings of this man's music?

    I'm familiar with Bortkiewicz and find his piano music uniformly pleasant. (The concerto you mention is better than merely pleasant!) The trouble for me is finding a piece that stands out in some way, or at least holds enough interest to be worth the study. That's why he's stuck on the lower reaches of my to-do list. But I appreciate his aesthetic and I hope to get around to him someday.
