Hi everyone! I just performed this sonata last week at my piano recital. I was wondering for some general feedback. My own thoughts: 1. a bit mushy during the fast parts - fingers got a bit stuck/nervous xD 2. I move my body a LOT. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IXEeb2Et ... r_embedded
Hi Jeff, Welcome to pianosociety, I'm Riley. I listened to some of your performance, you play this challenging piece well. However, you posted this piece in the wrong part of the forum. You are now in the audition room part of the forum. The purpose of the audition room is for pianists to audition their performances (in mp3 format, no youtube urls) for consideration of the admins (me and the two other moderators) to have a recording of the performance published on the main site. Also, you haven't introduced yourself :x If you want to get quality feedback from those who are part of this web forum, it would behove you to give us an idea of your music (or general) background. I don't mean to sound unduly stern, but these are rules we expect everyone who registers on this forum to follow. Riley
Hello Jeff, I just listened to your Beethoven and I quite enjoyed it! Yes it wasn't perfect and it is still a bit beyond you but you did a good job with lots of it. You do pretty well at directing our attention by voicing the parts. It's still too tame for Beethoven's Sturm und Drang style but that will come with mastery. You held yourself together when having some trouble; way to go! You are on the right path to a life-time of enjoying great music and I hope you never stop pursuing it in one way or another. Hopefully, one day you will play this on the piano just like you would dream of it performed by a great orchestra.
